Answers budget questions from Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
This week, Secretary Pete Buttigieg testified before the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee. Members of the committee asked the transportation secretary questions about the proposed budget for the Department of Transportation’s 2023 fiscal year. Members of the committee asked for details regarding the potential monetary allocations within the department. The role of the Transportation Department in the United States’ supply chain was the main topic of inquiry, especially in light of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.
“This type of infrastructure transformation only happens at most once every generation, and it only happens if we work together,” said Secretary Buttigieg as he began his testimony. “So I want to again thank you for showing that democracies can deliver for the people they represent, and for ensuring that the United States remains the global economic leader.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for members of the Senate Commerce Committee as they review the proposed 2023 budget.
- For Secretary Buttigieg to seek God’s guidance as he oversees the Transportation Department.
- For administration officials as the infrastructure funds are invested and allotted for various projects and programs.
